Under Florida Statute § 627.7263, rental car companies are required to disclose your insurance options before you sign. You have the right to decline the rental company's Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) if you are already covered by your personal auto insurance policy or a qualifying credit card benefit.

Florida law requires that rental companies offer — but cannot require — additional coverage. If your personal auto insurance policy provides comprehensive and collision coverage, or if your credit card offers rental car protection, you may opt out of the rental company's supplemental coverage. By declining, you acknowledge that Royal Me Rentals bears no liability for damages covered under your personal policy.
